Comfort Measures For Labor-Come learn and practice a variety of comfort measures that will help you better manage your labor experience. Relaxation methods, several effective and useful labor positions that help reduce discomfort and promote labor progress. Breathing techniques, advanced calming strategies, and other physical and emotional tips and suggestions will be presented. Learn how to make your birth environment calm and comfortable. Cost is $25 for two people. If you have more than one support person you’d like to bring, an extra charge of $5 applies. Newborn Know-How–You’ve got infant care questions, and we’ve got answers! Learn basics such as diapering, swaddling, bathing, safe sleep, infant cues and much more!  As an added bonus, we will be sharing information from H.U.G. (Help, Understanding, and Guidance for Young Families) – an evidence-based, innovative and family friendly program to help expectant and new parents understand the body language of their newborn, learn how to soothe your baby and how to use the information to prevent and solve common problems with a newborn’s sleeping, eating, crying, and with parent-child bonding and attachment.  A must for first time parents! Hospital How-To   This class covers writing your birth plan, the stages of labor, and packing your hospital birth bag. Being prepared was never so easy! $25 per couple Tuesday, March 3rd, Tuesday, June 2nd, 6-8 pm

Expectant Grandparenting   Babies haven’t changed, but what we know about them has! Come and learn what new parents are learning. The class will cover how you can combine your wealth of knowledge and experience with the latest infant care (i.e. sleep, soothing techniques, etc), safety (i.e. car seats, baby wearing, etc.), and child rearing practices – as well as how you can support and encourage the new parents in a gentle and helpful way as new grandparents!  Cost is $25 for two people  Thursday, February 26th, Tuesday May 5th, 6-8 pm
